After working with MIRRAD on The Script’s three previous arena tours, blinkinLAB were tasked with coming up with a treatment that referenced the band’s album artwork over the years. Moreover, the band themselves specifically wanted to incorporate imagery of their home city of Dublin.
Aiming for the most dynamic design possible, MIRRAD designed a series of cube-shaped screens, which provided full flexibility within a three-dimensional canvas. The team at blinkinLAB fulfilled the brief by using Notch in pre-production and as a real-time 3D tool during the show. On one track, they used Notch to mimic a point cloud effect. On another, they used particle trails and mesh emitters to bring one of the band’s album covers to life.
